Growing up as a kid on a ranch in Colorado, there was always something in need of fixing.  Working alongside my father, my best friend and hero, I learned many things about working with my hands including how to work with my wood. I have enjoyed woodworking now for 30+ years. and have made everything from small wooden gifts to custom-made cabinets and furniture.     

 

I have always enjoyed the arts as well, whether it was sketching or drawing cartoons while out working on the ranch, oil painting, ceramics, or many other artistic ventures.  I have always been intrigued by wood turning as a powerful art form and decided a few years back to give it a try.  I must admit to being totally hooked!  I am sure having lots of fun creating lots of wood shavings out in the shop and find it very rewarding. 

 

As many turners, I believe doing is the best way of learning...so I began by turning lots of practice pieces for family and friends.  One thing led to another, and people have liked my work and encouraged me to sell my work.  I will constantly be adding new products to this site as time goes along, so I would encourage you to check back periodically.  

 

I purchase some exotic woods for turning, for I truly appreciate the beauty and richness of the grain patterns in some of these woods.  However, as much as possible, I use salvaged woods from downed trees, etc. in order to make the best use of this valuable natural resource
